Wikipedia (surprisingly useful! Great for when you're trying to initially pin down a period.) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_…
For some unadulterated extant dress porn, Tumblr is a fantastic point of reference:
oldrags.tumblr.com
defunctfashion.tumblr.com
omgthatdress.tumblr.com
yeoldefashion.tumblr.com

For sheer variety during the Victorian/Edwardian eras, any photographic books or collections of fashion plates are great:
Victorian and Edwardian Fashion: A Photographic Survey www.amazon.com/Victorian-Edwar…
Victorian and Edwardian Fashions from "La Mode Illustree" www.amazon.com/Victorian-Edwar…
Victorian Fashions and Costumes from Harper's Bazar, 1867-1898 www.amazon.com/Victorian-Fashi…

LINE WEIGHT III art show at Gallery Nucleus!
I'm nothing if not terrible about telling you folks about things at the last minute, right? So let's not break tradition- I'm going to be heading down to LA this weekend for the Line Weight III show at Nucleus Gallery! This is a show dedicated entirely to traditional linework- I rarely get to sell originals, let alone six of them, so I'm pretty excited. Additional details:
Just take a moment to stare at that flyer and look at what good company I'm in, I'll wait. I KNOW RIGHT? It's daunting. I'm flattered. I love all these guys.I'll also be doing a LIVE DEMO at the gallery during the opening on Saturday, which I am not at all terrified
Sparky the Boston Terrier by HylianJean
Just had to share this! :D
I commissioned my buddy Jean Fioca/HylianJean (https://www.deviantart.com/hylianjean) to sculpt a tiny version of Sparky (my recently-passed boston terrier) for my parents, and she just posted photos of the final piece! The likeness is uncanny, right down to the upsettingly wall-eyed stare- I had trouble handing this off to the parents and not just keeping it for myself. :P
