'GASP! Faramir's nothing like that in the books, how could they??!? They killed him, those demons of SATAN...!'

Ugh, those fans are *such* a chore.

heheh.
I was severely disappointed that Grima and Saruman were left out, but at least we'll see them again in the extended edition. Don't go to hell, Mr. Jackson!

My mom *coffcoff*. :faint:

::rolls eyes::

This was my husband. He bitched for a half hour after the movie ended about it, and how Sauraman (sp?) and Wormtoungue had turned out differently in the books, and how the Scouring was the very best part of all the books, and how awful it was that it was left out, so thus, the third movie was unbearable.

I wanted to strangle him.
:iconbooker:
Did you ask him if he wanted to sit through an additional hour and a half watching all of that? :P I have to remind my annoying purist friends that whenever they start going off on how horrible the films were.

:iconxianjaguar:
Oh, he already stated he would gladly do that. He's beyond purist. Can you say "Fanatical"?

I personally thought the third film ended very nicely. The scouring is too...involved...for the ending. It's like a whole 'nother movie in itself. Not really an ending. The grey havens always seemed like a final calm wrap, which they did in the movie and the ending with Sam was perfect. So, if the annoying purists want to follow the letter of the books, they can go make their own darn 30 hour long trilogy. ;P
:iconthe-unorthodox:
XD! Man this is great. A lot of my friends get comments on their LOTR's fanart from people like this. Little Tolkienazis. We can't all be perfect like now, can we? ¬.¬

Haha...My friend is EXACTLY like that...> _>

Hi! I've been banned, because deviantART sucks. You can still find my artwork up on [link] (there's nothing there yet, but that's where it'll go). Bite me, dA. XP
:iconspiritwolf77:
Oy...back before I'd readthe books and just seen Fellowship, one of these people (you happen to know her actually *coughsamicough*) saw screenshots on my binder, and basically told me I was not allowed to be a fan because I hadn't read the books.
And no, she was not just joking. o.0
:iconshoomlah:
Ah, do I know them... Don't you love how it's like there's some sort of cut-off point for *true* fans? 'To hell with later generations, they're just a product of the mass media!'

GAH! So annoying.
