Hrimgunnr Kolfrost, of the North Ridge Kolfrosts by shoomlah Hrimgunnr Kolfrost, of the North Ridge Kolfrosts by shoomlah
My finished piece for Light Grey Art Lab's ROLEMODELS: The Battle for Vyk'Tornaahl show, which opens this Friday!

This was an insanely cool idea for an art show- all of the participating artists were asked to draw themselves as RPG characters, the results of which were then compiled into a working card game. I'm Hrimgunnr Kolfrost, an ornery ranger from the Norther Kingdom with a penchant for big guns and smush-faced dogs. Makes sense.

You can buy the card game HERE, and prints from the show HERE.

That is amazing.  I miss my Boston, and we need more Boston Terriers in fantasy art.

Makes me feel.... "empty"... inside.... in a good way of course. This is an amazing point of perspective and the character is inspiring to look at. Great job.

I've seen your post on Tumblr about the importance of using references and studying new subjects. Some of it was a good set of reminders and I also learnt new things. Thanks !

Depends on the firearm and who's using it. The busdnerbuss is probably the most heroic as far as "ranged weapons are cowardly" goes, because I  the spread doesn't go far and you don't get many shots since it takes forever t reload.

Also, I kinda wounder what is getting shot here...

Em...blunderbusses don't have spread - they are as effective as any other smooth-bore weapon. The end of the barrel is designed to allow easier loading, not induct spread - Dutch invented them for easier use on board of ships. And it's faster to reload than any other muzzle-loaded weapon ^^; Reality is unrealistic, isn't it?.
