I love the facial features on this one. Best part of the picture.

wormtails fatter then that
shoomlah Featured By Owner Aug 12, 2006  Professional Digital Artist
Funny, because the books describe him as someone who looks as if they had just lost a lot of weight, relatively quickly.
AngelNeko13 Featured By Owner Aug 12, 2006
I still think he's fatter then that...

But don't mind me. Im just insulting a char that I hate ^.^

In some weird way......I still feel sorry for Peter.
While the composition is fataly flawed by the placement of the cauldron (being distinctivly bheind Wormtail, while the magic is trying to give the impression of him standing over it), and the ghostly rat image manages to effectivly seperate the top half of the picture from the lower half, the physical portrait of Wormtail at this point of time is excelently done. From the position of his body to the light on his face, the rendering pulls on einto that moment of terror, when Peter is faced full with what he has done takes the final step past the point of no-return. One can almost feel sorry for him.

:wow: Wow! I like your version of peter the most! Every where I see him as a fat terd. no offense to those who do him as that. It's just that after his youth he'd lose the weight. (maybe this all too harsh?) What I meant to say is, I really like your picture and version of peter pettigrew. Great Job!

I think I've reviewed this on ArtisticAlley previously but what the hey, this is an awesome picture. Peter's face is so incredably expressive I can practicly hear him panting in fear. The lighning is dramatic and intense and completely appropriate for the scene. You've done an excellent job of capturing this moment.

A a small crit (I hope it's ok ^^) , I'm not sure the rat above works. It's a bit distracting from the main picture and keeps the words from being totally integrated. *shrugs* those are my thoughts anyway. But still a powerful adn well done picture.

Ack! He looks just as I picture him! Well don!

Real nice and crisp work. I like how you did the knife Peter is holding. And also the rat in the background. I have read book 4 over 3 times by now, and as said: It really IS the scene. Great work, love the style you have! I will be watching you ;) (Wink)

Owh please note, I am the founder of the Wormtail Club , maybe you want to take a look around there.

Bye, keep up the good work

Well, it does make sense that people'd leave him out... he isn't exactly the most admirable person :D (Big Grin) This is an excellent picture of him... it is honestly just about how I imagined him and this scene :D (Big Grin) Awesome~
madcarrot Featured By Owner Jul 28, 2003
Oh, lovely picture. Excellent colouring, and the style of drawing is just delightful.

I'm so disappointed that people forget about Wormtail. Thank you so much. :D (Big Grin)

Yay I like this^_^ This is exactly how I imagine Wormtail. This is really cool that you depicted this scene cuz I think it's the most dramatic (not to mention the most important that will effect and change the HP world) scene of GoF. Great job!

kitty-n Featured By Owner Jul 24, 2003
What a delightful peter. I love it. The smoke effect is awesome. Love the ecthed affect of the rat in the background. He looks exactly like I imagined.
aspera Featured By Owner Jul 22, 2003
YAY! It's PETER! I'm so sad that he's always 'forgotten' in the Marauder pictures. It's a shame, really.

Wonderful job, Shoomy. :) (Smile) Always love seeing your Harry Potter art.

O_O You must hear a crazy story. I came home from work tonight...with about 250 pages left to read in Goblet of Fire..couldn't put it down...just finished it, then went to check my deviations of the night...
Then like! OMG! I just read this happening! XD It fits the scene, it Is the scene, it's /perfect/. Great job with everything..I really like his expression..and the rat in the background. ^_^

Very cool. Something about it sounds familiar, but I don't have the slightest where. Love the style of the picture and the unsure look on the servant's face is perfect. Great job with the lighting and shadows.
maybesomeday Featured By Owner Jul 22, 2003
This is wonderful! The lighting is great and you got his design down perfectly. I like the smoke creeping around his arm.
