Our first assignment in Illustration II this semester was to illustrate a single word, and to do it in a way so that it wasn't blatant nor achingly subtle. The word crocodiles kept cycling through my head- not as the word to illustrate, but as the subject matter- and so I chose "awkward" as my word and came up with the idea of a crocodile businessman bring home a wildebeest friend from work only to find his wife preparing exactly that for dinner.
Hahaha, awkward indeed. Gotta love those expressions.

Oh wow! This is wonderful XD The look on Mr. Croc's face is priceless! I really love the style of the anthros in this, as well as the shading and coloring... And oh God it just makes me laugh x3 This is great, and, if my opinion's worth anything? I think you definately achieved 'awkward.'
Bwahaha, you did a great job! You definitely captured the right moment.
Mr. Croc looks as through he could sink in a hole and stay there...

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
