I was extremely disappointed with the designs for the new Clone Wars movie- especially Ahsoka Tano's design in the wake of the impeccable Shaak Ti- and so took it upon myself to play around with her character. Not necessarily in the style of Genndy, but that's obvious enough. I feel like the Togruta have been define as a more ceremonial race in terms of their dress, and it seemed like a cop out to put Ahsoka in generic "new trilogy" costuming.
How they messed up the look of this film when the source material and the corresponding Gentle Giant maquettes are so gorgeous I'll never know. There's some stuff I'd like to change about this, but that's not going to happen any time soon so I'm posting it anyway. -C (blue pencil, Photoshop CS3) |
